Our receptionists are fully trained and have a lot of information
at their fingertips and will be able to answer many of your queries.
If you are unsure as to whether to consult a doctor, nurse or health
visitor etc, the receptionist will be able to advise you. Please rest
assured that the rules of confidentiality apply equally to all practice
staff; a brief explanation may enable them to suggest the right person
for advice, or offer the most suitable appointment. Please help them to
help you.

Sisters Evans, Lidyard and Stelfox are the practice nurses and are available by appointment. Their numerous tasks include:
- Travel advice and vaccinations
- Infant and adult immunisation
- Cervical smears
- Dressings and removal of stitches
- Ear syringing
Clinics to monitor blood pressure, asthma and diabetes. They also assist the doctors in minor surgery and are always available to offer professional advice. Appointments may be made by telephoning 029 2062 9601.
Carer Champion
As part of our ongoing service to patients, Whitchurch Village Practice has nominated Lisa Latner as their Carer Champion. This role allows patients who have the responsibility of caring for relatives, neighbours or friends to contact the practice in confidence, as well as a friendly first stage towards getting well deserved recognition and assistance.
It is important that carers are aware that this service is available for them and to this end we would encourage cares to contact Lisa to discuss the assistance available. Lisa can be contacted on Wednesday and Friday mornings and Thursday afternoon at the Practice.
